Do I have to compete in all three events?
If you're in the SOLO event, yes. A SOLO competitor must compete in all three sports in order to be included in the final event results and prize purse.

Where is the location of each event?
The event typically takes place in California. However, each stage of the competition moves to different cities. Please check the homepage for the most recent event locations.

What sport do the athletes compete in first?
Traditionally, the event starts with snowboarding, then surfing and ends with skateboarding.

How old do I have to be to compete?
On the first day of the Event, all SOLO entrants must be at least either 18 years of age or 16 years of age with notarized parental or guardian consent.

In order to enter the TEAM Open Pro/Am division you must be over 16 years of age on the first day of the event.

You must be under 16 years of age on the first day of the event and will need a signed notarized parental or guardian consent form to enter the YOUTH TEAM competition.

Is this a professional or amateur event?
Both. The ULTIMATE BOARDER staff has decided to combine both pros and amateurs in the SOLO & TEAM/RELAY divisions.

How many athletes will be competing in the SOLO competition?
Currently, we have a guaranteed spot for 50 SOLO athletes. In the TEAM division 10 Open Pro/Am & 5 Youth (under 16) Teams.

Is this an invitational?
Yes, a select number of pro athletes will be invited to compete.

What is the SOLO prize money and how does it break down?
SOLO Prize Purse: $50,000.00 USD
1st = $30,000 Gold
2nd = $10,000 Silver
3rd = $5,000 Bronze
4th = $1,500
5th = $1,000
6th = $800
7th = $600
8th = $500
9th = $400
10th = $200

Will you be selling souvenirs at the event?
Yes, a variety of t-shirts, hats, posters and other items will be sold on site. Please stop by the Official UB Merchandise booth and purchase your souvenir.

Will you be selling event merchandise online?
Official event merchandise will be available online in the STORE section, unless otherwise noted.
